PRESS RELEASE
New Entity in China Marks a Major Milestone in Global Expansion
Chengdu, China, May 18, 2026 – Jyga Technologies is proud to announce the official establishment of its fifth global entity, based in Qingdao, China, and to mark this milestone with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the 23rd China Animal Husbandry Expo (CAHE 2026), held May 18–20th, 2026.
This announcement builds on years of presence and established relationships in China. For over a decade, Jyga Technologies has maintained a dedicated sales and technical support team operating in China, steadily building trust with customers, dealers and suppliers. The creation of this new entity formalizes and deepens those relationships, turning years of trust into a lasting commercial commitment across China and throughout Asia.
Today, over 18k GESTAL feeding systems nourish hundreds of thousands of pigs every day across China, a testament to the confidence that Chinese producers have placed in Jyga Technologies over the years. This new entity is built on that foundation, with a clear purpose: to strengthen our presence, better serve our growing base of Chinese customers, support our teams in the field, and make life easier for partners across the region. Faster deliveries, closer support, and a local structure that reflects the importance of this market are at the heart of what this entity will deliver.
A New Chapter Built on Years of Collaboration
"We are not just arriving in China, we have been here, learning, listening, and building lasting relationships. This new entity is the formalization of bonds we have nurtured for years," said M. Alain Lefebvre, president & CEO. "Celebrating this at CAHE, alongside the partners and customers who have been part of this journey, felt like the only right way to do it."
This expansion is designed to support and complement operations at Jyga Technologies' headquarters in Canada: the heart of the company's manufacturing and assembly expertise for over thirty years. From 5 employees to a team of over 130 across five entities on four continents, Jyga Technologies continues to grow with the same founding conviction: that producers who raise pigs deserve the best tools, the best support and partners who truly understand their reality.
A Future of Sustainability in the Swine Industry
With 30+ years of innovation and leadership, Jyga Technologies was the first company to design and manufacture automated feeding systems for pigs. These systems ensure an ideal daily feed intake for pigs in all growing phases, leading to excellent results. In addition to the GESTAL feeding system, the company develops VISION software and the ROBUST equipment line at its headquarters in Canada. New products are rigorously tested at its 2,200-sow experimental farm to ensure they meet the highest quality standards.
With entities in Germany, the United States, Brazil and now China, Jyga Technologies distributes its products worldwide through an extensive network of distributors, technical experts, and an online sales platform.

In grow-finish barns, the target is consistent growth at the lowest cost per kilogram of gain. Feed cost is the largest lever, but so is precision.
